Woonona vs Kiama - 1st Grade 23rd August
Woonona hosted Kiama who needed a win on the final day to ensure finals football. Woonona however were determined to ensure a season of victories continued. No points dropped for the entire season is a great effort from the guys and it must be sometime since this has occurred.
Woonona running out 8 - 0 winners. John Chapman taking his tally to 30 goals for the season with 3 goals. Sugar Shane Risby netting twice, Matt Radnidge capping of a man of the match performance with a brace, and Cameron "Patches" O'Neill also getting on the scoresheet. Again strong games from Wayde Peterson, Adam Herron and Shay Connor providing the backbone for the Sharks win. The boys celebrating the win, but ready for this weeks Promotion Play Off Game.
Woonona will take on Balgownie this Wednesday 27th August at Judy Masters Oval, then the return leg at Ocean Park on Sunday 31st August.

Woonona vs Kiama - Saturday 23rd August 2008
Kiama travelled to Woonona on Saturday, with the Sharks looking to take out the 3 Minor Premierships on offer. Youth Grade needed a win to get the title, but a stubborn Kiama held out for a draw. Coach Bemi and the boys should still be proud after a great season and we look forward to seeing the boys progress into the Finals. Steve Lewis and Nathan Sackett have both passed the 20 goal mark, whilst the guys have been resolute in defence. All in all, it looks good for the future of the Sharks.
Reserve Grade have been outstanding this season, and accounted for Kiama in a 9 - 0 romp. Pete Lewis bagging 3, Danny DeSousa 2, Mark Oliveira, Josh Murray, Isaac Coonerty amongst the goals. This season has seen some of the guys have great years. Evergreen Matt Smart has led this team, with guys like Ben Shaw, Nick Van Tol, Nathan Cirson all having good seasons. The addition of several youth graders has proved vital. The wheels could have fallen off several times due to injuries within the club, however Chris Gibson, Nathan Sackett, and Matt McKoy have stepped up to provide Reserves with some great help when needed.
Both Youth Grade and Reserve Grade will look to progress in this years Final Series, but both should be proud of their seasons.
Congratulations must go to both managers Rob Bemi, Greg Smart as well as their assistants Matt Tolhurst and Troy Wiseman.
